11 Marketing + Design was founded in 2017 by an entrepreneur who learned marketing the expensive way, on his own ventures, with his own money at stake, and built the agency he couldn't find: one that treats your budget like it's ours and reports numbers with sources attached.
Who We Are, in the Time It Deserves.
A full-service digital marketing agency headquartered in downtown Amarillo with a Lubbock office and clients across Texas, New Mexico, and Kansas. Six services, SEO, AI Search Optimization, Website Design, PPC & Paid Media, Social Media Management, and Branding & Design, built to run as one system, measured in one monthly report.
Why 11?
The number found Walter early. He was eleven when he started taking art seriously, and it has followed him around ever since in ways he has stopped trying to explain to people.
There was also a colder reason. Numerals sort before letters. In directories, listings, and alphabetical rankings, 11 goes first, which meant the company's own name was its first piece of marketing before there was a company to market. That felt like the correct way to start a marketing business.
Both reasons are true. We have never seen a reason to pick one.

Most agencies are staffed by people who've only ever spent client money. Our founding DNA is different: Walter Steelman came to marketing as a business owner, product builder, and repeat entrepreneur, the person the invoice lands on, not the person who sends it. That origin shows up everywhere in how we work: we ask what a dollar returns before we spend it, we'd rather lose a pitch than promise a number we can't source, and we build things you own, your site, your accounts, your data, because operators hate leashes as much as you do.
